University of New Brunswick Saint John is home of the 2011 CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championships March 10-12

January 25, 2011, SAINT JOHN NB: Some of Canada’s top women’s volleyball teams will battle for the UNB Associated Alumni Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Volleyball National Championship title at UNB Saint John March 10-12, 2011. “Every year this championship showcases first-class volleyball athletes from across the country,” said David Munro, UNB Saint John Athletics Director. “We are honoured to be this year’s host and to have our athletes participate in this exciting event.” Hosting this highly competitive three-day event will give teams, fans and media from across the country a front row seat to enjoy Saint John’s unique spirit, hospitality and commitment to local athletes. Based on Tourism Saint John’s economic impact formula, the championship will generate an estimated $124,700.00 for the local economy. Teams from across the country are in the final phases of qualification, with top teams from each conference advancing to the nationals in Saint John.
