The 18th annual Neville/Jones Bed Push was a success, said an organizer.
John Bailey said Saturday that despite a few changes from previous years, the 2010 bed push raised $12,300 for Women in Transition House, Inc.
Neville/Jones House, a residence at the University of New Brunswick, is closed this year due to a lack of demand for all-male housing.
Bailey, who would have been president of the house, said that didn't stop Neville/Jones alumni and other members of UNB's residence community from making sure the bed push happened.
"We weren't sure how it was going to go at first because we don't have a house this year, but it was a great success," he said. "We got a lot of support from campus and the community, and I'm so impressed with all the people who came out."
