University of New Brunswick hits its stride at 225 - The Globe and Mail

The University of New Brunswick was already more than 80 years old by the time Confederation rolled around.
Canada’s oldest English-language university marks its 225th anniversary this year, and while its alumni list remains a reliable gauge of who’s who in Atlantic Canada, there are signs that the school is learning to find its way in a new world. On Thursday evening in Toronto, for example, a splashy event featuring alumni Frank McKenna and Anne Murray will aim to raise UNB’s profile in Ontario.
“UNB is a quiet one, or has been – it’s changing,” Ms. Murray said.
