University of New Brunswick students will be hopping aboard city transit for free as they conduct the annual Shinerama campaign Saturday.
Shinerama, which began in 1964, is Canada's largest post-secondary fundraiser involving students at more than 60 colleges and universities across Canada.
This is the 37th year that UNB students have participated in Shine Day, said Lauren Vail 2010 UNB Shinerama director in an application to city council for permission to conduct door-to-door canvassing in the city.
Shine Day is the day when students raise money for the fight against cystic fibrosis.
