OK, so you thought organizing your family reunion was a mammoth task
Try walking in Michelle McNeil's shoes.
The University of New Brunswick staff member is the project manager for one of the biggest conferences to be held in the city.
McNeil is working on the logistical details of the Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences, which will draw more than 6,000 delegates to Fredericton for nine days between May 28 to June 5.
The event is expected to generate $6 million worth of business for hotels, restaurants, tourist venues and the taxi industry.
"Those 6,000 delegates will be here to meet with over 70 different associations, so the federation, which is the oversight body, refers to this as a meeting within a meeting," McNeil said. "It's kind of like the academic Olympics."
