The keynote event in Saint John will be a public lecture by Jean McCardle, a senior adviser with the Canadian International Development Agency. Ms. McCardle has just returned from a 16-month assignment with the Task Force Kandahar.
Her lecture will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m., in Oland Hall, Room 104. She will hold an interactive session with students interested in pursuing a career in international development work on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. in Oland Hall, Room 206. On Thursday, Feb. 11, Ms. McCardle will be in Fredericton for another public lecture at 7 p.m. in the Wu Conference Centre.
International Development Week, the signature week for Canada’s international development community, is celebrated each year in February.
It provides a unique opportunity for the Government of Canada, and Canadian organizations and individuals to engage in the challenges and successes encountered in international development work.
