Universal Design for Learning is an approach to course design that incorporate multiple means of engaging students with content and people, representing information, and expressing skills and knowledge. Universal Instructional Design is a similar concept built on seven course development principles.

To find out more about these approaches, check out UNB's Accessible Learning Resources.    You may already be using UDL/UID techniques in your course design and delivery.  The Accessible Learning "How Do You Teach?' Checklist is a quick and easy self-evaluation tool to gage your universal design competencies.
