The university's seventh annual UNB Remembers ceremony will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Hall auditorium (Fredericton) and Hazen Hall 225 (Saint John).

UNB Remembers is a time for our community to come together and reflect on the toll of war on our students, alumni, faculty and staff.

This year’s ceremony will feature biographies of UNB alumni Charles E. Kingdon Jones (’12) and Donald W. Moffett (’42) who lost their lives in the two World Wars. As well, the ceremony will feature reflections by the family of Jim Morell, a prominent Frederictonian who returned from the Second World War and made significant contributions to our community. Letters he sent to his family from the Front will be read by current students, and members of his family will offer reflections on his connections to UNB and the Fredericton community.

This year’s ceremony will bring both campuses together in reflection, as the ceremony will be livestreamed between the Memorial Hall auditorium on the Fredericton campus and Hazen Hall 225 on the Saint John campus. We hope members of both our campus communities will join us. Those unable to join us in person can connect at

Please join us as we gather to pause and reflect on the many lives affected by war – past and present.
