Theatre UNB presents Moments in Time, an evening of three one-act plays by two celebrated American playwrights, to be performed Nov. 28 - 30 in Memorial Hall.

The 90-minute production includes Thornton Wilder’s two most famous one-acts, The Long Christmas Dinner and The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden, along with David Ives’s fanciful short The Green Hill.

These innovative works use the simple economies of the stage to take their characters and audiences on expansive and memorable journeys. The Long Christmas Dinner compresses 90 years of one family’s seasonal meals into a moving half hour in which births, deaths and crises are sprinkled casually among the small talk and turkey. The Happy Journey follows a lively family of four as they drive through New Jersey, navigating roads and emotions under the eye of the garrulous Ma. In The Green Hill, a young man spends decades searching the corners of the earth for the hill of his dreams — before discovering that his happy place was there all along.

Directed by John Ball and designed by Trent Logan, Moments in Time features a cast of 17 student actors playing multiple roles. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $14 (regular), $10 (seniors) and $8 (students) and are available at the door.
