UNB Sustainability will host its second annual Sustainability Week from October 7 - 11, on the Fredericton campus. There is a full slate of events being held in collaboration with partners from across campus, and in the community, that promise to have something for everyone. Partners for the week include the City of Fredericton, ArtZone and UNB Libraries, among many others.

Along with the individual events, Sustainability Week will also be a major milestone in the Plastic Free UNB campaign that UNB has been working on since June. This campaign aims to impact the decisions made by students, staff and faculty when it comes to single-use plastics by better understanding why they don’t opt for a different, more environmentally friendly option.

Posters of student leaders pledging their support will be featured in the Student Union Building from October 1 - 14 to encourage other students to pledge as well. A pledge board will be up in the SUB lobby during Sustainability Week for any member of the campus community to sign and make the commitment.
