Please join me in offering condolences to family and friends of retired staff member Helen McKay, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 in Fredericton, NB. She was 69.

Originally from Red Bank, NB, Helen worked as a payroll clerk in the financial services department at UNB Fredericton. She began working at UNB in 1987 and retired in 2010 after 32 years of service.

Friends and colleagues remember Helen as a very lively person, with a great sense of humour and quick wit. She was extremely caring and loved to make others laugh. Many people knew how much she enjoyed her home and family life, and her kids meant everything to her. She also loved to cook and was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.

Condolences can be made online. Flags have been lowered on both the Fredericton and Saint John campuses. Helen will be missed by all who knew her and our thoughts are with her family.

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul J. Mazerolle

President and Vice-Chancellor
