A program review for the Faculty of Renaissance College, initiated earlier this year, is now engaged in the external consultation phase of the Faculty's programs and operations.  Input from the faculty members, staff, and students is an important part of the assessment of the unit’s administration, scholarly and educational programs.   External consultants will visit campus on September 26 & 27, 2019 when they will meet with members of the university administration and representatives of particular constituencies within the Faculty, including students, to seek their perspective on the operations of the department.  The reviewer’s itinerary will also include some open time to which individual faculty members and staff will be invited.  The external reviewers are:

  • Dr. Lisa Chilton, University of Prince Edward Island
  • Dr. Rosemary McGowan, Wilfrid Laurier University

An open session is scheduled from 10 - 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 in Sir Howard Douglas Hall, 102 for all members of the university community to meet the reviewers and discuss any issues you have relating to the faculty.

Those wishing to make submissions for the consideration of the external reviewers are encouraged to write directly to: “External Reviewers – Renaissance College c/o The Office of the Vice President Academic” before September 25, 2019, just prior to the visit.  These submissions will be reviewed only by the external consultants and held in strict confidence. In addition, individuals are encouraged to submit comments on the state of the Faculty’s programs directly to Dr. George MacLean, Vice President Academic, and Chair of the UNB Program Review Committee, Sir Howard Douglas Hall, 105, UNBF or email:
