The Mawoluhkhotipon Ally & Safe Space Program for Wabanaki and Indigenous Peoples is an innovative project to support a campus community that affirms, welcomes and supports Indigenous peoples who work, study and visit UNB Saint John.  Developed in collaboration with Elders and Indigenous community members in New Brunswick, this program provides insights to Indigenous culture, historical background of colonization, and an understanding of what it means to be an ally. This program is also an initiative intended to support the mandate of UNB’s Truth and Reconciliation Strategic Action Plan.

Our next full-day sessions (Level 1 and Level 2) are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

  • September 21
  • October 5
  • October 19

While it is important to take both levels in sequence, you are welcome to attend just Level 1 if you wish.

For more information or to register for the sessions (please indicate your preferred date), please email us at Ally Program (allyprogram@unb.ca)
