JDI on Campus, Sept. 16 and 17

JDI on Campus 2019 is an initiative to increase UNB hires.  On Sept. 16 and 17, J.D. Irving, Limited, will be promoting student employment opportunities and careers with its 50 companies.  Students in all years are invited to visit the lunch time drop-in zones and participate in evening networking events with JDI professionals.  JDI employs more than 840 UNB alumni, 29 per cent in leadership positions.

JDI on Campus schedule:

Fredericton - Monday, Sept. 16    

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

Lunchtime drop-in zones:  one outside Tilley Hall near Poet’s Corner (with the Cavendish fry truck) targeting management students; and one outside Head Hall’s C-level entrance (with mini putt) targeting computer science, engineering and forestry and environmental management students.

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Evening professional development and networking sessions for students in management, computer science, engineering and forestry environmental management:  Wu Conference Centre. Students are encouraged to register in advance.

Saint John - Tuesday, Sept. 17

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.         

Lunchtime drop-in zone:  the Quad (with the Cavendish fry truck) targeting students studying business, computer science and engineering.

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.                    

Evening professional development and networking session targeting business, computer science and engineering students. The Whitebone Lounge, Thomas J. Condon Student Centre. Students are encouraged to register in advance.

The Career Development and Employment Centre in Fredericton will be offering a networking workshop on Sept. 13 to help students prepare their elevator pitch and learn to effectively communicate and engage with potential employers.
