Join us on Monday, Oct. 7 to celebrate UNB Sustainability Week!

Engineers Without Borders will be hosting a community discussion on the impacts of climate change on local and internatinoal development. All people from all backgrounds are welcome to attend. Whether you are an expert or a curious community member, this will be an engaging event for all!

What innovative advancements in engineering and technology have been caused as a response to global climate change? Is carbon sequestering efficient enough to reduce carbon? Is nuclear worth the risk? What are the ocean-life impacts of off-shore wind farms?

What about the negative effects of climate change in developing regions? Desertification affecting crop lands in Sub-Saharan Africa? Droughts reducing the rainy season? Floods and hurricanes overtaking small island developing states?

Engineers Without Borders is a national organization whose mission is to bring people and ideas together to tackle the most crucial causes of poverty and inequality. This event will bring both people and ideas together, and who knows, maybe the next big ideas in climate change and international development will stem from our event here in Fredericton!

You can find us in room 305 of the Forestry and Geology building on the UNB Fredericton campus. See you there at 7 p.m. on October 7!
