Please join me in offering condolences to family and friends of retired staff member Faye Watson, who passed away on August 10, 2019 in Fredericton, NB. She was 68.

Originally from Minto, NB, Faye began working as an administrative assistant at UNB Fredericton’s faculty of forestry in November of 1970. She retired in August of 2007 after almost 37 years of service.

Many of Faye’s friends and colleagues remember her for her kind, friendly and helpful nature. Described as a ray of sunshine, Faye always went above and beyond to help both faculty and students. Over the years, Faye enjoyed travelling to visit family in Scotland and was a member of the Greenwood Drive Baptist Church. In addition to spending quality time with family and friends, Faye was also an avid painter.

A visitation and memorial service took place last Friday. Flags were lowered on both the Fredericton and Saint John campuses on that day. Condolences can be made online. Faye will be missed by all who knew her and our thoughts are with her family.

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul J. Mazerolle

President and Vice-Chancellor
