This is NB Disability Awareness Week (DAW).  The main goal of DAW is to raise public awareness of existing barriers that prevent citizens with disabilities from full and equal participation in all aspects of their community and what must be done to correct these problems. It is also an opportunity to celebrate examples of best practices and advancements made toward full inclusion of citizens with disabilities.

The UNBF Student Accessibility Centre provides services to students with documented disabilities so that they are able to fully participate in their studies.  During the 2019-20 academic year, 440 students were registered with the Accessibility Centre; 38% of registered students reported a mental health disability, 22% reported ADHD, and 17% reported Learning Disabilities.
