New cybersecurity feature coming to your UNB email on April 8

Starting Monday, April 8, you’ll see a new warning message on all emails you receive from outside of UNB (ie: sent from external email services like Gmail).

This new security feature will make it easier for you to identify phishing attempts and other malicious emails targeting UNB.

What does the warning message say?

Caution: This email comes from outside of UNB. Do not open any links or attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

What if I forward my UNB email to Gmail or another external email service?

If you use an external email service (like Gmail), this warning message will appear on all emails you send to a UNB email address. To stop this, simply begin using your UNB email account instead of an external email service.
