In less than 25 days, UNB Fredericton will host 500 regional science fair finalists from across Canada, between the ages of 12-17, competing for nearly $1 million in cash awards and university scholarships at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF).

We are currently recruiting 350 English, bilingual or French speaking judges to volunteer their expertise, experience, and time to be part of this celebration.

Judging is the heart of this premier STEM competition.  Judging requires an evening commitment on Sunday, May 12 and a full day commitment on Monday, May 13 from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a break for lunch and resume at 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.  Judges will evaluate five or six projects on Monday morning and review projects for special awards in the afternoon.

Each judging team consists of members with a range of backgrounds from dentistry to engineering to pharmacology and everything between.  If you have a science background and are interested in volunteering as a judge, please contact Ben Newling at
