Changes to UNBF Facilities Management Chargeback Model

Beginning May 1, 2019, UNBF's Facilities Management is implementing a new business model that eliminates all FM labour chargebacks to accounts funded from the UNB operating budget. 

As of May 1, FM chargebacks to these units will only reflect the cost of required materials, supplies, incidentals and any externally contracted labour.  This business change will increase efficiencies across multiple UNB departments and for non-FM departments it will translate into an increase in discretionary dollars available to their units. 

FM is proud to do our part for UNB by continuously seeking ways to improve our operations.  In making this change, FM will need to manage increasing requests for services without additional staff or operating funds all the while minimizing the impact to current service levels.    

Meetings with key stakeholders will take place during the month of May and will discuss how these changes have been rolled out and address any issues or concerns arising.
