Call for Papers - Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research Conference

This is a call for papers for the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research (MMFC) Conference from October 9-10 at the Wu Conference Centre. 

The conference theme is “Ending Gender Based Violence: Harnessing Research and Action for Social Change,” and the keynote speaker is Dr. Myrna Dawson, Canada Research Chair in Public Policy in Criminal Justice and Director of the Centre for the Study of Social and Legal Responses to Violence at the University of Guelph. 

Proposals for academic papers and posters or presentations from service providers and policy makers in all areas of gender-based violence should be e-mailed in English or French to fvrc@unb.ca by April 29, 2019. Topics can include: gender and domestic/intimate partner/sexual violence, missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, the impacts of exposure to domestic violence on children/on mental health, domestic homicide, domestic/sexual violence and the impacts in the workplace, etc.
