ITS would like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping your UNB accounts and personal information secure.

Account credentials can become compromised with a simple click on a phishing link leading to unauthorized access to your UNB account and information.

Here are some helpful tips for good password habits:

  • Never recycle old passwords or use the same password for different accounts;
  • Use strong and long passwords;
  • Never share your password with anyone;
  • Don’t save passwords within your web browser;
  • Delete old accounts you no longer use;
  • Be wary of links: don’t click on links in text messages or emails you are not expecting.

Our cybersecurity training tool, Beauceron, is also a powerful tool for everyone at UNB to learn how to protect their personal information, UNB and its data from any potential threats.

Go to go.unb.ca/beauceron or your myUNB Portal page and click “Cybersecurity Awareness” on the Launch Menu to the left.
