The first pilot roll-out of online procurement was held during the summer and initial feedback indicates users had a positive experience. Here are some of the things UNB employees are saying about online procurement:

“The new online procurement system is user friendly, and meets all the requirements for me to submit various types of PO requests such as hotel bookings, lab supplies, car rentals, equipment, purchased service, etc. Also, UNB is another step closer to a greener environment!”

“A positive step in the right direction. It uses less paper, also less work for me to track what I’m doing, which was essentially doubling the work for reference purposes.”

“The program offers information that is useful to both the employee and the supervisor, it provides real-time budget forecasting, and is very easy to track old purchase orders to use as references, when needed. Overall, I’m very pleased with the program.”

If you’d like to be part of an upcoming online procurement pilot this fall, please email

We will begin rolling out online procurement in January 2019.

Online procurement at UNB will greatly improve the ability to use online approvals, track requisitions and deliver a timelier recognition of purchases in the unit's accounts.
