UNB’s new guest wireless, public@unb, is now available in all buildings on the Fredericton and Moncton campuses. (The Saint John campus already has access to public@unb).

This new guest Wi-Fi service replaced GuestUNB WiFi and makes it easier for visitors to connect to Wi-Fi at UNB.

About UNB’s new guest Wi-Fi (public@unb)

  • Doesn’t require a UNB faculty or staff sponsor or special login ID (visitors can connect automatically themselves)
  • Provides access to the internet and public UNB websites only (not secure UNB sites or services, including printing, file shares, etc.)

Why should faculty, staff and students use eduroam instead of public@unb?

Eduroam is more secure and gives you full access to:

  • UNB websites and services that require login (ex: myUNB Portal, Colleague, printing, file shares, etc.)
  • The Internet and public UNB websites
  • Wi-Fi at other eduroam institutions around the world

Public@unb only gives you access to the web and public UNB websites and cannot be used to access all UNB IT services.
