The Fredericton Sexual Assault Centre (FSAC) and the UNB Student Union will be working together to host an event, Re-Defining Rape Culture, to address the issue of Rape Culture. It will be held Friday, Sept. 14, from 7 - 9 p.m., in the lower atrium of the Student Union Building.

This event will showcase speakers from the Fredericton community addressing aspects of our culture that facilitate sexual violence. While listening to speakers, attendees are invited to use the paints and canvases available to create works of art depicting imagery of hope and possibility.

The event will be launching a campaign built by the Campus Sexual Assault Support Advocate and the UNB Student Union. This poster campaign defines 10 different social constructs that build a foundation for sexual violence to occur in our community and offers suggestions for readers to make small changes in their personal lives that will help make a shift in the way we treat our peers.
