Kenneth Ireland Public Lecture - What is a smart village - Using mathematics for rural prosperity -FR

Dr. V. Kumar Murty, Department Chair of Mathematics at the University of Toronto and co-founder of PerfectCloud, explores how we can transform isolated rural communities into “smart” villages by using mathematical models.

Dr. Murty is a recipient of the prestigious Steacie Fellowship and a member of the Royal Society of Canada.  His work on scalable architecture for smart villages was awarded the 2018 Connaught Global Challenge Award. 

The Kenneth Ireland Public Lecture will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the John Meagher Auditorium, 215 of the Kinesiology Building on the Fredericton campus.  There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome to attend.
