JDI Week at UNB Sept 24-27-FR and SJ

JDI Week, a major initiative to increase UNB hires, will take place Sept. 24-27.  J.D. Irving, Limited, will be promoting student employment opportunities and careers with its 50 companies.  Students in all years are invited to visit the Let’s Talk Jobs drop-in zones each day and participate in evening networking events with JDI professionals, per the schedule below.  JDI currently employs 660 UNB alumni — 33 per cent in leadership positions.
 
JDI Week schedule:
 
Monday, Sept. 24:  Engineering and Computer Science - UNB Fredericton
•    11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Let’s Talk Jobs – Outside Head Hall’s C-level entrance.  Rain location: Head Hall Foyer
•    6 - 7 p.m. – Networking session for engineering students – Wu Centre, Chancellor’s Room
•    6 - 7 p.m. – Networking session for computer science students – Wu Centre, 204
 
Tuesday, Sept. 25:  Forestry - UNB Fredericton
•    11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Let’s Talk Jobs – Outside Forestry & Geology Building.  Rain location:  F&G, 2nd Floor Foyer
•    5:30-6:30 p.m. – Networking session for forestry students – Forestry & Geology, 303

Wednesday, Sept. 26:  Business - UNB Fredericton
•    11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Let’s Talk Jobs – Outside Singer Hall.  Rain location:  Tilley Hall Foyer
•    6 - 7 p.m. – Networking session for business students – Wu Centre, 204

Thursday, Sept. 27:  Business, Computer Science and Engineering - UNB Saint John
•    11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Let’s Talk Jobs – In the Quad.  Rain location: Irving Hall Foyer and IH106
•    6 - 7 p.m. – Networking session for business, computer science and engineering students – Thomas J. Condon Student Centre, Whitebone Lounge
•    7 - 8 p.m. – CPA information session for senior accounting students – Oland Hall, 106.
 
The Cavendish Fry Truck will be on site at the Let’s Talk Jobs drop-in zones each day from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with free fries for students.  Students are encouraged to register for the evening networking sessions.
