Peer Support Centre coordinator job posting-FR

The UNB Peer Support Centre (PSC) is a volunteer student organization overseen by Counselling Services. The PSC provides a weekly therapy dog room wellness event and campus-wide outreach events.

The PSC Coordinator will plan and organize the activities of the PSC, including weekly recurring events, such as the therapy dog room, and campus-wide outreach activities and social media campaigns. The position is responsible for volunteer recruitment, interviews, appreciation, training, and evaluation, as well as resource management, statistics, and assessment.

Qualifications include: interest and knowledge regarding the mental health and wellbeing of university students; experience volunteering or working with crisis intervention organization; exceptional communication, report writing and leadership skills; experience in public speaking, facilitation, and training; experience in volunteer management and training; familiarity with or past volunteering experience for the Peer Support Centre; and, certification in Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, or other mental health or crisis training
