The UNB faculty of nursing offers a free information service to pregnant mothers/families from September to October 2018.

Two second-year nursing students will visit four times, each visit lasting approximately one hour, at a time and location convenient for the family. The visits generally take place in the family home or at the university and will focus on providing information that the mother/family requests. On the first visit, Students will bring a list of topics related to pregnancy, birth, or care of the newborn.  The family chooses which topics they would like to learn about in the following three visits. The students will have an instructor with them for one visit, and all the information students prepare is reviewed by their clinical instructor. This information is intended to supplement routine prenatal care and does not replace medical care or other care by a health care provider.
