Join us on Wednesday, July 18, from 9 – 11 a.m., in 334 of Marshall d’Avray Hall – facilitated by Mary Astorino, CETL Instructional Designer.

During this workshop, you will be introduced to the teaching & learning possibilities offered by UNB-F’s first Tech-Driven Active Learning classroom: Room 334 in Marshall d’Avray Hall. The room features several flat screen displays that can be controlled by the instructor using a master controller or used independently by students while doing small group work. There is lots of whiteboard space for brainstorming and furnishings that are easily movable.

The session will include an overview of how to use the multiple-screen system and four 10-minute mini-lessons serving as examples of how the space could be used. The point of the session is to get you thinking about how you could optimally use such a space, and perhaps get you dreaming about how a similar space could be integrated into a building in your part of campus.

The mini-lessons will be facilitated by:

  • Lauren Cruikshank (MAAC)
  • Mark Hirschkorn (Education)
  • Jon Sensinger & Adam Wilson (ECE)
  • Martin Wielemaker (Business)
