Applications are now being received for the Centre for Enhanced Teaching & Learning Visiting Scholar Program for the Summer Term, with a deadline of Friday, Apr. 6. Ideal for those planning a summer project, the program is for faculty members who wish to work on projects that would benefit from close collaboration with members of the CETL staff.

The program is open to full-time UNB faculty members who have been teaching for at least five years and wish to pursue a teaching & learning oriented project. In most cases the visiting scholar will be situated for one term in the CETL offices to facilitate his or her work and collaborations. Note that there is no pay or stipend associated with this appointment.

Examples of types of projects that would qualify:

  • Working on a course redesign to include more active engagement strategies and exercises (collaboration with Teaching & Learning Services).
  • Working toward a technology-enabled flipped classroom approach (collaboration with Media Services).
  • Working on a project related to the redesign of a learning space (collaboration with Classroom Services).
  • Working on a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning project (collaborating with Teaching & Learning Services).

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and our capacity is limited to two concurrent Visiting Scholars.  We are accepting submissions for all 2018-19 terms. Please send your email application request, before Friday, Apr. 6, to

Your email application request should contain the following:

  • Description of project/intended work.
  • Specification as to how being up at CETL would be helpful for this work.
  • Duration of “visit” with start and end dates specified. The duration is typically one term.
