The Urban and Community Studies Institute will host James Hughes, Crabtree Visiting Scholar, on Friday, March 2, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., in the Whitebone Lounge.  He will hold a Panel Discussion: Past, Present, Future: Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion.

James Hughes is the Executive Lead at the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation in Montreal. He was formerly the President of the Graham Boeckh Foundation and New Brunswick’s Deputy Minister of the department of Social Development. One of his key accomplishments as deputy minster was the development and implementation of the provincial poverty reduction plan.

Dr. Sarah Gander, Chair of the Centre for Research, Education & Clinical Care of At-Risk Populations and Clinical Lead of the New Brunswick Social Pediatrics Research Program
