What makes the University of New Brunswick shine? The people who study, work and teach in our community!

This fall, we are launching a new series called #WeAreUNB - getting up close and personal with our UNB community.

We will be sharing photos and personal anecdotes from our students, faculty, staff and alumni on our social media channels and website. These stories will reflect the personal journeys of our community members, giving you an authentic look at the people of UNB.

The hashtag #WeAreUNB will connect us all to a shared experience, reminding us that while we may come from different backgrounds and chase different dreams, the University of New Brunswick is a special chapter in each and every one of our lives.

How can you be a part of this series?

We want to share as many stories from as many different people as possible. So if you have a connection to our university, we want to hear from you!

Joining our initiative is easy! Simply fill out this entry form and our social media team will reach out to select participants for a photo. These photos are posted to our @discoverUNB Instagram account and website each week, as well as other social media accounts across UNB.

What stories are we looking for?

At UNB, we know it takes all kinds of kinds to make the world go ‘round and we want to celebrate this diversity.

That means no story is too big or too small - #WeAreUNB and we all have a story to tell. We simply want to know: What does your UNB look like?

But if you’re looking for some guidance to help get you started, consider the following questions when crafting your post:

  • What brought me to UNB?
  • How does this faculty/society/class help me to thrive?
  • Why did I choose this career path?
  • Who/what has helped me to become a better person?
  • What would people be surprised to know about me?
  • Which of my UNB experiences has had the greatest impact on me?
  • What changes do I hope to make in this world?
  • What is the most meaningful part of my job?
  • What makes my UNB experience unique?
  • What am I most passionate about?
  • If I could give anyone advice on how to live their best life, what would it be?
