I am writing at the end of my second month as dean of the faculty of engineering at UNB, after a very busy month getting settled. I am slowly working through meetings with student groups, alumni, and each, and every, one of the more than 100 employees of the faculty.  I have been impressed with everyone’s commitment to, and pride in being part of, UNB Engineering.

Through these meetings, I am starting to see a clearer picture of UNB engineering as a dynamic engineering school proud of its past and excited for its future.

Over the next year, we will be working to plot our course for the next decade. We are very aware that we are sailing through very unpredictable waters and for that reason, I am hoping that you as one of our nearly 14,000 alumni will support us on our journey. There are lots of ways to do so. Reach out if you are in town and drop by campus, drop me a line with advice, become more active in our alumni association, or hire a grad.

With your help, I believe that the next decade of graduates will make major contributions to our world, just as the graduates that have come before them have done.
