Carson Dorcas is joining the Seawolves men’s volleyball roster this fall, bringing size, power and leadership. He first caught the eye of coach Dino Karatzios at the 2018 Volleyball provincials.

“Carson is a big strong 6’4” middle, with lots of confidence on the court”.

Winning provincials with Leo Hayes JV in grade 9 and named MVP of the U18 Reds this past fall, Carson claims volleyball is a great escape from everyday life. While it may be a stress reliever for him, he certainly puts the stress on his opponents with his tremendous blocking ability.

“I look forward to being on a team here everyone wants to improve and always compete at a high level”.

Receiving honors at Leo Hayes and starting his Bachelor of Business Administration in the fall, Carson claims he was drawn to UNB Saint John by the potential of the volleyball team. He draws inspiration form his grandfather and previous coach Chris Johnston, whom he would like to thank for this opportunity.

Coach Karatzios emphasized Carson’s maturity, respectfulness and how serious he is about his future ambitions. He rests assured knowing the he shares the team’s values of hard work and not taking short cuts.

“He has tons of potential and will grow into a top middle in this league”.

Welcome to the Seawolves Family Carson!
