A clever phishing email has been reported at UNB.

What to look for:

  • This email is claiming to be sent on behalf of Netflix
  • It notifies that your account has been put on hold because “we were unable to collect your last payment”
  • It instructs to please update your payment method and provides a link for you to log in to your account and update your information as prompted

What to do:

  • DO NOT click on the link provided or respond to the email; simply report to the ITS Help Desk as with any phishing scam.

Cybercriminals can be very crafty, so it is important to always be on the lookout for a potential scam—if you feel suspicious about an email, do not take any chances.
