UNB computer labs are getting a refresh

This summer, ITS will be visiting each Windows computer lab in Fredericton, Saint John, Bathurst and Moncton to upgrade the operating system, Office suite, and more.

Since the kick-off of the upgrades, the following labs have already been migrated:

  • IUC Forestry - NF010
  • IUC Forestry - NF013
  • Gillin Hall - GD117
  • McLeod House

What’s so great about the new lab environment?

Once a lab has been upgraded, students get to enjoy a Windows 7 environment (lab computers were formerly running Windows XP), as well as Office 2013, the latest version of Microsoft’s Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Not only that, all the updated computers have a refreshed desktop complete with a new design, reduced clutter and a new and easy to use UNB Software Centre for installing UNB-approved software on the machine.
