IBM announces University of New Brunswick among top organizations involved in cybercrime project

IBM announced this morning that the University of New Brunswick is one of the top organizations around the world working with the global firm to push new frontiers in cognitive security – leveraging IBM Watson for Cyber Security to enhance their own live security operations, while also helping IBM refine Watson’s cybersecurity capabilities and pioneer new use-cases for the technology.
After training Watson this year on the language of cybersecurity, Watson is now ready to test its expertise in the real world (you can think of this as Watson moving from "schooling" to "internship" in cybersecurity).
UNB joins Sun Life Financial, University of Rochester Medical Center and California Polytechnic as part of a group of 40 organizations testing Watson’s ability to assist in the battle against cybercrime.
