In celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and the visit of Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, a Victoria Day celebration will be held May 21 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hazen White/St. Francis (HWSF) School.

The royal couple is visiting HWSF to observe first-hand how students are benefitting from the school's work with community partners such as our campus. During the tour, Their Royal Highnesses will meet with staff, mentors, and children involved in the Promise Partnership mentorship program as part of the Crescent Valley Community Regeneration Project.

There are many family activities planned for the afternoon. School staff and community volunteers will prepare free food and snacks, and a barbeque will be provided by the Saint John Fire Department.

UNB Saint John will be used as a shuttle location as there is no parking at HWSF. Shuttles will leave the main campus parking lot every 15 minutes between 12 p.m. to 6 p.m..

UNB Saint John students, faculty, staff and families are invited to attend and join in the celebrations.

Dr. Robert MacKinnon

Vice-President, UNB Saint John
