Acadian language topic of next Atlantic Canada Studies Seminar

The public is invited to attend the fifth presentation in the 2011-2012 Atlantic Canada Studies Seminar Series at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.

Wlad Cichocki, a French and linguistics professor at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, is the speaker. His presentation, Identifying Regional Dialects of Acadian French from PhoneticVariation, takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. in room 224 of Tilley Hall on UNB’s Fredericton campus. 

The series, made up of interdisciplinary seminars that promote research and discussion on Atlantic Canada, is a faculty of arts collaboration sponsored by the office of the dean of arts, faculty of law, and the departments of history, sociology, economics and French.

Participation in the series is welcome on an individual, occasional or continuing basis.  The series is free and each presentation is open to the public. Refreshments will be available. For more information, contact the 2011-2012 co-chairs:
