UNB s visiting Writer-in-Residence John Barton reads from Hymn as part of Lorenzo Reading Series

Poet John Barton will read from his novel, Hymn on Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. in the Faculty-Staff Club (Ward Chipman Library Building) on the Saint John campus.

Hymn is Barton's ninth collection of poetry. His earlier work has earned him three Archibald Lampman Awards, an Ottawa Book Award and a National Magazine Award. Barton is editor of Seminal: The Anthology of Canada's Gay Male Poets. He is the editor of The Malahat Review, former editor of Vernissage: The Magazine of the National Gallery of Canada, and the former co-editor of Arc Poetry Magazine. He lives in Victoria, B.C.

The reading is hosted by the Lorenzo Reading Series and the UNB Saint John Bookstore, and supported by The Canada Council for the Arts. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
