Department of Chemical Engineering s 50th Anniversary Speaker Series

UNB’s department of chemical engineering proudly presents the 6th lecture in their 50th Anniversary Speaker Series which will be held on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in Dineen Auditorium, Head Hall, in Fredericton.  Janet Holder, president, Gas Distribution, Enbridge Inc. will deliver a talk entitled Good Chemistry: A Formula For Career Success. In January, 2008, Ms. Holder became the first woman president of Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. -- Canada’s largest natural gas utility with 1.9 million residential, commercial and industrial customers. Ms. Holder also provides oversight for utility and non-regulated businesses in Eastern Canada and the United States including Enbridge Gas New Brunswick, St. Lawrence Gas in New York State, and Gazifère in Quebec. In 2009, Ms. Holder was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 by the Women’s Executive Network. She holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of New Brunswick where she now serves on the Board of Governors and a master of business administration from McMaster University.
