UNB honours early president for contributions to institution - Telegraph-Journal

Scottish scholar William Brydone Jack never intended to stay in Fredericton, but like so many ex-pats who move to the Maritimes, he ended up settling down and lived out his days in the provincial capital. And Thursday, the accomplishments of the man who became one of the University of New Brunswick's first presidents, were recognized during an event at the Harriet Irving Library as part of the university's 225th anniversary celebrations. Along with a plaque that was unveiled to mark the fact that an asteroid was named after Jack, an exhibit of UNB's archives on him is now on display in the library.
