Dr. Rita Deverell, Nancy's Chair in Women's Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University, will be a guest of the University of New Brunswick’s Women's Studies Programme on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Her presentation, entitled ‘Have We Come a Long Way, Baby? A TV Producer and Artist Reflects on the Status of Canadian Women in 2011’ will take place in Tilley Hall, Room 124 at 4:30 p.m. Dr. Deverell is a co-founder of Vision Television and the recent recipient of the Black Women's Civic Engagement Network (BWCEN) Leadership Award for her pioneering work in issues related to visible minorities, women, Aboriginal peoples, and persons with disabilities.
