The University of New Brunswick is proud to unveil the latest upgrade to its website.

The 2010 refresh for the UNB website builds on the work first introduced in December 2008. It was developed based on continued research, analysis of our site usage trends, new technologies and emerging best practices among universities and colleges.

The work was done in-house by UNB's web operations group, which consists of staff members from Communications & Marketing and Integrated Technology Services (ITS).

The latest version of UNB's website features an improved homepage, upgrades to the university design templates and new social media features.

Updates to the UNB homepage include the introduction of search-as-you-type. This new feature enables visitors to see results for both people and pages search right on the homepage. UNB is one of the first universities in Canada to enable this technology, which was developed by Google Labs.

myUNB

The myUNB project is a multi-phase initiative encompassing the myUNB homepage, eServices, a university portal and UNB service unit websites. The first major improvement is to the myUNB home page providing a new look and features to better meet the needs of the UNB community.

myUNB is being developed in-house by ITS in collaboration with Communications & Marketing.

myUNB features a new quick launch menu that provides access to the 12 most requested resources for students, faculty & staff. It also includes a new navigation menu designed for the internal UNB community.

The new myUNB now provides convenient access to powerful advanced search capabilities for the UNB website and phonebook. It also has at-a-glance access to breaking UNB alerts and cancellation notices.
