Would you like to contribute to a supportive and safe community for graduate students at the University of New Brunswick?

The UNB School of Graduate Studies and UNB Counselling Services are collaborating to offer a new peer-led graduate student support program for graduate students at both campuses.

The program consists of ongoing meetings led by a pair of trained peer moderators drawn from the graduate student community. These meetings provide a supportive and safe forum for the discussion and sharing of ideas and experiences while building connection and community among its members.

Peer moderators are provided with training and ongoing support from both the School of Graduate Studies and the program coordinator from Counselling Services.

The majority of training is provided asynchronously via D2L and takes approximately two to three hours to complete. In addition, there is a single two-hour live event that will be scheduled based on participant availability.

After training, the time commitment consists of approximately two to three hours over a two-week period.
