Dear Students, as we have learned over the past six months, life with COVID-19 is nothing if not unpredictable. At UNB, it has taught us that creativity and adaptability are essential.

In planning Fall Convocation our top priority has always been to provide UNB’s Class of 2020 with a graduation experience to celebrate and recognize all that our students have accomplished.

After a great deal of consideration, we have decided to move from in-person Fall Convocation ceremonies to virtual ceremonies. Virtual ceremonies will provide all graduates, wherever they are, with an equal opportunity to participate and celebrate their academic achievements in the safest way possible.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we navigate academic life during the pandemic. We will be working hard in the coming weeks to plan memorable virtual ceremonies worthy of our graduates’ accomplishments, and we look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available on UNB’s graduation website.

With kind regards,

Paul J. Mazerolle

President and Vice-Chancellor
