Our next installment of our 'Meet SGS' series involves a long-time member of the Grad School, Jackie Seely.

Jackie has a long standing career at UNB and has held many administrative positions, starting at Enterprise New Brunswick in 1988 and then the Dean of Arts Office 1992, until she settled at the Graduate School as an Admissions Officer in 1998.  Jackie was later promoted in 2001 to position of Administrative Coordinator and Assistant to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

She attended the New Brunswick Community College in Moncton and graduated with a Bilingual Administrative Assistant Diploma. She then worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Pension Medical Officer at Veterans Affairs Canada in Saint John for several years until she moved to Fredericton and began her career at UNB.

Jackie has also been volunteering for over 25 years with the Kin Canada Association and received her Lifetime Membership award in 2014. In the past 10 years, she has worked assisting seniors on weekends and she truly enjoys spending time with them. Jackie loves Fredericton and is very fortunate that she was able to raise her 3 sons in this beautiful city.  She feels very proud to have such a long and wonderful career at UNB.

Jackie's roles and responsibilities in the Grad School revolve largely around completion of degrees for our graduate students. Planning on finishing soon and have questions? Visit our website or contact Jackie!
